This is the latest episode of the syndicated FuseBox Radio Broadcast with DJ Fusion & Jon Judah for the week of July 1, 2009 with some new and classic Hip-Hop & Soul Music, news and commentary.

Our commentary this week focused on the impact on both popular & Black Culture of the extremely unexpected deaths of music legend Michael Jackson and actress & activist Farrah Fawcett (R.I.P) and what we can learn from them, the utter mess of this year's B.E.T. Awards and some other things here and there.

We had a great interview earlier this week to blast off on the syndicated FuseBox Radio Broadcast with fashion designer and businessman Polo The Fur King (http://www.myspace.com/potterjoh).

Some of the topics we covered included his background growing up in New Jersey, how he got involved in the fashion world and the music industry (as a designer, studio head, etc.), being a quality entrepreneur, how important it is to stay humble and do good works in the community and some other things!

Due to the length of this week's interview and some commentary, we do not have new Black Agenda Report or Direct EFX segments this week.

Podcast Summary

The syndicated FuseBox Radio Broadcast was founded by DJ Fusion (aka Mary Nichols) while she was still an undergraduate student at the Rutgers University - New Brunswick campus in 1998.

Along with co-host and business partner Jon Judah (who became part of the permanent staff in late 2003), the radio show has a strong focus on bringing a diverse mixture of Hip-Hop & Soul music (and Black Music in general) from all over the world to our listeners along with interviewing guests and bringing news to the multi-faceted Hip-Hop community.

From it's roots at Rutgers University Radio (WRSU 88.7 FM), the 3 hour radio friendly syndicated FuseBox Radio Broadcast mixshow has spread to the following internet radio stations and outlets (as of Sept. 2009):

The mission of the FuseBox Radio Broadcast since its beginnings when I was an undergraduate student at Rutgers University in 1998 has been to bring diverse Hip-Hop & Soul Music (and just Black Music in general - reggae, funk, jazz, disco, etc.) to the masses as well as quality commentary and interviews to our radio listeners, especially in this age of overall mulitiple "cookie cutter" and poorly overly corporate run radio stations (not all stations, mind you, but a lot). I am a radio mixshow DJ in my late 20s who also spins on various mixtapes and does various club and lounge events.
