This is the latest episode of the syndicated FuseBox Radio Broadcast with DJ Fusion & Jon Judah for the week of May 6, 2009 with some new and classic Hip-Hop & Soul Music, news and commentary.

This week's commentary focused on the influence of companies trying to rename the swine flu outbreak, the passing of artist Ernie Barnes and the strangeness/ higher up marketing plan to have Black Billionaire, TV host & tastemaker Oprah Winfrey promote out of all things in the world, free chicken to people in the U.S. along with some other things here and there.

We also had a great interview with up and coming independent R&B artist T. Plezya (http://www.myspace.com/tplezya) about his artistic influences, experience as an overseas music artist before coming to the U.S., the music industry in general, his upcoming projects and other things here and there.

We do have a new Black Agenda Report segment but no new Direct EFX segement this week.

Podcast Summary

The syndicated FuseBox Radio Broadcast was founded by DJ Fusion (aka Mary Nichols) while she was still an undergraduate student at the Rutgers University - New Brunswick campus in 1998.

Along with co-host and business partner Jon Judah (who became part of the permanent staff in late 2003), the radio show has a strong focus on bringing a diverse mixture of Hip-Hop & Soul music (and Black Music in general) from all over the world to our listeners along with interviewing guests and bringing news to the multi-faceted Hip-Hop community.

From it's roots at Rutgers University Radio (WRSU 88.7 FM), the 3 hour radio friendly syndicated FuseBox Radio Broadcast mixshow has spread to the following internet radio stations and outlets (as of Sept. 2009):

The mission of the FuseBox Radio Broadcast since its beginnings when I was an undergraduate student at Rutgers University in 1998 has been to bring diverse Hip-Hop & Soul Music (and just Black Music in general - reggae, funk, jazz, disco, etc.) to the masses as well as quality commentary and interviews to our radio listeners, especially in this age of overall mulitiple "cookie cutter" and poorly overly corporate run radio stations (not all stations, mind you, but a lot). I am a radio mixshow DJ in my late 20s who also spins on various mixtapes and does various club and lounge events.
